Dublin Carol
by Conor McPherson
November 14-December 14, 2008
It is Christmas Eve in Dublin and assistant funeral director John Plunkett is no Scrooge, but he has a lot to consider about his past, present, and future. His alcohol-clouded life has caused great damage to himself and those close to him.
Conor McPherson describes Plunkett’s last chance with the same compassion and unsentimental clarity seen in The Weir, Shining City, and The Seafarer.

THE REVIEWS
...an excellent dramatic production. Decker... gives a believable and sympathetic
performance here, making John's overwhelming self-loathing palpable. Russell's
poignant turn... coveys an acute sense of shared history. ...both are matched by
Avolio's nuanced portrayal of a young man struggling with his own inner demons.
The production is splendidly directed by Jack Sbarbori, who also did an outstanding
job on the set and sound design. With "Dublin Carol," Quotidian once again
proves that excellence can be achieved on a meager budget. --Doug Krentzlin, DC Examiner | read the full review
